Rogério Araújo, founder of Chapel Tattoos, has bought Moon Cartridges. The brand was born a few steps from his studio on Washington Avenue, and it is now run by someone who lives with a needle in hand, every single day.
Moon started in December 2023 out of a frustration every tattoo artist knows: a cartridge was either good or affordable. Rarely both. The idea caught on fast. 316L steel, a silicone membrane, 20 sealed units per box and an honest price.
What it lacked was scale, and someone with the background to push the needle further. Rogério spent years testing cartridges from every maker out there, as part of international Pro Teams such as World Famous Tattoo Ink and FK Irons. He can feel, in the line itself, the difference between a needle that holds and one that makes you go over the same spot three times.
From now on, the whole line gets measured against that standard. And the first result already has a color: Moon Premium, in a gold box, is on its way.
